It is a practical guide to improve quality, reduce cost and create a culture of continuous improvement in the public sector. It features 20 public sector case studies from the United States and Canada. The foreword has been written by Jay Inslee, Governor, State of Washington.

The book is the first publication of its kind to provide a comprehensive roadmap for public sector transformation using Lean thinking, and supported by concrete case studies.

Haneef Chagani

Partner

Haneef Chagani is an experienced Management Consultant specializing in assisting organizations develop efficient and effective business operations. Haneef has over 20 years experience in organizational transformation and operations improvement. He has led or been involved in enterprise Operational Excellence programs with public sector and Fortune 500 organizations globally

Prior to founding Cognitive Process Consulting Ltd., Haneef was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and led the firm’s Operational Excellence practice in Canada.

Haneef has trained and coached thousands of senior executives, middle managers and front line employees at numerous public and private sector organizations in Operational Excellence philosophies, tools, techniques and methodology. Haneef is co-author of the book: “Delivering Results that Matter – Transforming Public Services Through Lean Management”.

David Graham

Partner

David is an experienced Lean Sigma Black Belt who has initiated and developed continuous improvement programs with four operating companies at Chevron as well as with the City of Vancouver.

David specializes in transactional back office processes as well as oil and gas, small and mid-size manufacturing, as well as government at municipal and provincial levels.

David’s experience includes end to end supply chain transformations, IT continuous improvement as well as extensive work in Finance and Human Resources transformation.

In addition to MBA and BA in Economics, David is a certified supply chain manager (SCMA) and certified in PROSCI change management methodology.
